I have ClickToFlash enabled and haven't clicked on any video. Yet, the scrolling stops when it hits the edge of the video.I notice that too, not a big deal, just don't scroll near the video.

Im selling my Shuffle hoping to get at least $100 - $120 for it. Im looking at a 20Gb iPod <- Wayyy too much space or a nano. I like the nano because I already take my Shuffle everywhere with me. I like the screen of the nano well because its color and you can view pictures. But a 20Gb or 10Gb 3Gen would be a bit big. And I like the portability of the nano. Its small so I can keep it in my pocket with other school stuff ( ID, pens, ect) and from some pictures I have seen of it it fits in any pocket. I have only 3.6Gb of music so a 4Gb model would be fine. And about 50Mb of pictures. Any advice?

Yes a keyboard will be useful but the most important thing in a studio is sound. If you can't hear what you're doing it's so frustrating. If you're just starting out you may think that having ok sound will do the trick but it won't be long before you're not sure if you're hearing your mix or your speakers when you're mixing on bad speakers. I'd much rather make house music with good sound than a keyboard.
For good speakers, you're looking for near field monitors, they differ from standard speakers in that they try to reproduce accurately the sound you feed them, standard speakers try to "sound good". There's a pretty big difference between the two, sounding good usually means a compressed sound with not a lot of middle frequencies. For house, you'll probably want a sub.
Either way, a keyboard is nice to have, if you don't have any previous experience with keyboards, you might as well just get the 25 key (get it velocity sensitive especially useful for drums). M-audio have a pretty good value.

Simple, play dumb. Claim it was there when you got it.
And that's exactly what's wrong with society these days.
Man or woman up and take responsibility for YOUR screw up.

Ga I wish Bartlesville schools had at least a few macs that weren't from 1998. If only they new what potential could come of putting a little bit of creativity into the classroom instead of working on cheap Dells with outdated software. I mean the computers at my school don't even have Cd burners when I was writing the school paper they expected us to use floppy discs all the time. At least Apple finally put an Apple Store in Tulsa can't wait for friday.

I'm guessing that this is a bug that would be fixed in the future when OS X supports writing to NTFS volumes natively.
So, if you want to share something on your Mac over the network, and you want to define users and their permissions, you should make sure that the folders that you're sharing are on a drive or partition formatted to HFS+.
Ah nice, but don't expect OSX to support writing to NTFS in the future. The way that things like 3G-NTFS or whatever write to a NTFS volume is sort of hacky anyway. If you can, I would look into using exFAT now instead of NTFS (if that works for your environment).

So since it is Wednesday I am assuming this amounted to absolutely nothing.
No... it amounted to some spectacular Northern Lights displays. My wife showed me bunch that were captured last night and posted to the web.... I don't know where she found them.... but they were spectacular. :)

Sure, under the Activator settings, you can set what does what. Click on the Anywhere button, then scroll down to "Status Bar".
I have double tap status bar set to bring up the application switcher. Swipe right brings up sbsettings, swipe left brings up system settings. Swipe down brings up the home springboard.
Hope this helps.
Excellent! Many thanks lokerd

Will the mods entertain changing to [Resolved] status upon a request to do so in a post report?
Personally, I don't think it should be something we do for others or others should report for threads that aren't theirs. It's just a helper, not something that is enforced like a rule.

Thanks for the info! I'll be going to pick one up tomorrow if it's in stock! Also, I'm usually the guy who wants the FULLY upgraded system, but I think I'm turning over a new leaf. Hopefully this change goes well... :D

Posting this from my new 27" iMac, purchased from Best Buy!
I got the lower base 27" model for $1615 + tax, so I'm pretty happy. The $85 I saved will pay for an extra 8GB of RAM :) Going to have some dev VMs running on this sucker with no problems.

Can anyone give me the right amount to Partition off for Windows XP+Bootcamp+Games?
Thanks in advance...
K.
Hmmm. Well, if you just wanted XP and basic apps, crikey, 10GB would probably be enough (provided you wouldn't have GBs of e-mail in Outlook or something). 15 or 20 would be safer.
But you add games and, well, it all depends on how many and which games. An average graphical game these days is 4GB minimum. Dragon Age: Origins is 17GB! So, 60GB could be plenty, but you put 4 or 5 games on there at 7GB a piece, and factoring in at least 15% free space for good measure, 60GB could feel snug pretty quickly.
So, 60GB isn't a bad answer, and you can change it later on with the help of Winclone and Disk Utility partition resizing without reformatting OSX partition, but try to get an idea of which games you know or think you will install and how much space they take up.
Cheers.
(And why XP and no Win 7?! ;) )
Thanks in advance...

What is a good app for a newbie to create a webpage? I want something simple and easy, free would be a plus. I also have a simple knowledge of html.
technical speaking vi from the terminal; which means open up terminal and typing "vi" is the hardest app to work with. however, if you can learn vi which has a fairly high learning curve and be able to create webpages it will assure you that you can use any html editor of your choice without any problems. the down side vi is quite confusing if you never used before. the up side is your'll be able to use any *nix flavored server and be able to create a webpage without the aid of the special software because vi is installed on ever unix severs. however, if you don't need the functionality go with bbedit or subthaedit.

Export to Quicktime presentation, install Quicktime on PCs.
edit: kayjprod beat me to it.
This method has a lot of drawbacks.
First, it generates huge files. All transitions are movies rather than a slide that is just rotated by a graphics program.
Second, You loose a lot of control over the presentation. Flipping back and forth between slides, cursor control, animation timing, etc.
Third, The final movie never looks as good for some reason. Maybe it is just a matter of changing parameters somewhere but my files are huge and my transitions, slides, fonts, etc. don't look as high res or clear.
I agree that Keynote needs a freely distributable player like PowerPoint has. This would allow you to send the condensed slide-only file to the OS X or Windows user and he or she would have the same control and effects over the presentation as in Keynote. QT just isn't the same as the PowerPoint freely distributed player on Windows.

I didn't know they had vinyl banners, those are cool. I have a couple of the Think Different posters: Picasso and Earhart. Nabbed 'em right off the wall from my old work immediately after they went out of business- yoink! :D

Sorry, but even the head of cyclone/hurricane research for the World Meteorological Organization says that it is premature to link "global warming" (see: theory of) to increased hurricane activity this year (http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/09/23/MTFH02074_2005-09-23_11-27-45_SCH341095.html).
Neither position is right or wrong at the point. The head researcher with the WMO says that studies still need to be conducted, however it would also seem that in the past there have been some strong storms may it be snow, wind, rain far few than at present.
As stated it is only going to get worse till the balance is regained. Its not going to escalate and continue on that path its going to subside. When that will happen no one knows yes, as we do not know the peek yet.
Much is to be seen. :)

When I look at the depreciation of MBP, it is much worse than a MP. For example, 2008 models of MP have depreciated by about ~50%, while MBP have depreciated ~75% for similar price starting price point of the computers.
